Derek has over 35 years of experience in construction. Following completion of his joinery apprenticeship, Derek worked in various roles for local authority refurbishment projects in and around Central Scotland and Ayrshire. He started up Cleland Joiners & Builders carrying out extensions and new build housing.
Derek’s attention to detail, passion and care shown to the projects have helped the business grow to the levels of today. He shows commitment to his customers and is always on hand to answer any queries to ensure a successful project. He strives for perfection and ensures that the team always work in an efficient, respectful and professional manner.
Campbell has over thirty years experience as a Quantity Surveyor working within Private Practice, Local Authority and Construction. He has a very hands on management approach to each project which allows for high quality projects completed on time and within budget. As Quantity Surveyor director he has overall responsibility for design, programming, cost control and quality.
He is ambitious and with his contacts and wealth of experience in the construction field, has rightfully earned a reputation for growing small family run business’ into multimillion turnover companies with various contracts running concurrently.
We have a small team of highly skilled individuals and qualified tradesmen who are dedicated to providing a five star service and high quality finish on our projects. We also have a team of approved sub-contractors who share our values and provide a standard of work in line with our own in house team.
We have a small turnover of staff many of which have been with us from the beginning. The company is very family focused with a number of father / son teams, including our directors.
We provide all staff with a company branded uniform which maintains our corporate identity and impresses on our clients our level of professionalism.
We have recently expanded our office-based team and now have an in-house accounts team and assistant QS which has allowed our directors to focus on maintaining the high quality workmanship that our business is known for as we continue to expand. Our team are vital to our business and are key to helping us achieve our ambitions for the future.
